ERHFS project aims to improve food security of 950 poor and marginalized households in 10 villages of Bethlehem and Hebron Governorates through improving water resource management, increasing plant, poultry and honey production, with increased capacities, skills, and community participation. The project is characterized by wide range of activities, several targeted communities and a large number of beneficiary households. The activities of this project shall result in the following; 40 household-established poultry farms; 121 household receive stone fruit seedlings; 121 households benefit from distribution of vegetables seeds and seedlings to cultivate their home gardens; 290 households receive seed stocks of field crops and forage for cultivation in their rain-fed farms; 20 households benefit from rehabilitation of domestic rainwater harvesting systems & home gardens; 469 households benefit from distribution of olive fly biological traps; 54 households receive beehives. Additionally, the beneficiaries of chicken farms, home gardens and beehives receive technical training and are provided with farm extension services to enhance their capacities and skills in managing their agricultural endeavors.
