 This project, funded by the NGO Development Cetner (NDC), aims to provide an updated and comprehensive description and assessment of the state of the environment in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, as well as to show the trends of the major environmental indicators over the period from 2007 till 2010. A status of environment report is expected to be published on ARIJ's website as part of this project, which will include a narrative, statistical and cartographic description of the current environmental status in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. It will aslo include a list of recommendations to check further environmental degradation and to carry out restoration actions in environmental hot spots. In addition, a one-day national workshop will be organized with participation of national and local authorities, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and international funding agencies, in which collected data and derived knowledge will be presented.
