Bethlehem, March 7, 2013—The Applied Research Institute Jerusalem ( ARIJ ) administration accompanied by fellow members of its trustees board have gathered to celebrate the International Woman’s day in the institute main office in Bethlehem.

The audience of ARIJ staff were greeted by Director General Dr. Jad Isaac and trustees board Director Dr. Nassri Qumsiyeh. “ARIJ gender policies which have been applied throughout the years have proven fruitful in the fulfillment nations approach of gender equality. females of our society are the nurturing body of our society development and our resistance towards achieving our rights” noted Dr. Jad Isaac.

The staff were also called upon to maintain and back the concept of gender equality within the programs conducted by the institute towards achieving rights based approach that guides ARIJ work. Dr. Nassri Qumsiyeh trustees board Director elaborated on the challenges facing the realization of gender equality and women rights within the oPt and the Arab world in general.
