Director General of ARIJ Dr. Jad Isaac signed a strategic partnership agreement with Ms. Anna Radecka representative of the Polish center for international aid (PCPM).

The Project is co-financed by the Polish development cooperation programme / Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, the agreement was signed as a result of a successful partnership and cooperation between both institutions since 2012.

ARIJ cooperates with PCPM to enhance the cooperatives sector in Palestine, through supporting them in multi – sectors such as (capacity building, good agricultural practices, improving capacity production, good governance, providing tools & equipment’s and marketing channels). The project activities this year is a complementary project based on the remarkable achievements during the last year.

This year the project will focus on providing the targeted cooperatives with “Modern water plant agriculture units” which is considered as a new green technology in Palestine through adopting two types of this technology (hydroponic & wicking bed system).

As for the cooperatives which provides services for marginalized, needy people and institutions works with disabilities and rehabilitation.
This agro-production technology is very effective in saving water for irrigating crops and for increasing the productivity (Qualitatively and quantitatively), which will contribute in improving food security for targeted beneficiaries.

Furthermore, the project will continue its support for seven cooperatives in the sector of agricultural production, food processing and consumer cooperatives in different governorates, the project is going to target the following governorate of the west bank ; Jerusalem, Hebron, Bethlehem, Ramallah, Nablus, Tulkarem, Salfit and Jenin.
