Bethlehem University and the Applied Research Institute – Jerusalem (ARIJ) have signed a strategic partnership agreement to promote sustainable development through research and innovation. Mr. Suleiman Abu Dayyeh, Chairman of ARIJ’s Board, and Br. Hernan Santos, Vice Chancellor of Bethlehem University signed the agreement.

This collaboration aims to advance research, knowledge transfer, and capacity building in key areas, including the circular economy, artificial intelligence, green technologies, sustainable development, and natural resource management. It also seeks to enhance knowledge exchange between the two institutions for the benefit of Palestinian society.

The signing ceremony was attended by members of ARIJ’s Board of Directors, Director General Dr. Jad Isaac, and administrative staff, alongside Dr. Fadi Kattan, Executive Vice President of Bethlehem University, and Dr. Luigi Piscitelli from the Faculty of Business.

As part of the agreement, the two institutions will collaborate to foster innovation and entrepreneurship through Bethlehem University’s Business Incubator (BBI), which will work with the private sector to support entrepreneurial initiatives. ARIJ will contribute its expertise in sustainable development and green technologies to strengthen these efforts.

This partnership falls within the framework of the “Innovative Entrepreneurship Center for Women and Youth in Green Investment and the Circular Economy” project, implemented by ARIJ and funded by the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation.
