The project aims to enhance good governance practices among the target groups, based on the principles of transparency, accountability and participation. The project’s target group includes 14 cooperatives and the Olive Oil Cooperative Union (OOCU) based in the West Bank. In order to achieve its objective, the project will focus on introducing an accountability system that will be adopted and implemented by the targeted cooperatives, introducing participatory governance and good governance principles, and helping cooperatives adopt a planning monitoring and evaluation system. The activities of this project will include: conducting awareness workshops for cooperatives’ members, developing an accountability policy/manual for each cooperative, developing enhancement plans, conducting community surveys and a monitoring forum.
