The main objective of the project is stimulating economic growth among small farmers in Hebron and Bethlehem Governorates through the introduction of new farming methods (Hydroponics and wicking beds) and education in the field of agribusiness. The Project targets 70 small scale farming families and 35 students of Al-Arroub agriculture school in Hebron by providing them with new agro-practices which enhance and diversify their self-food production activities along with encouraging entrepreneurial spirit in the establishment and/or development of small scale agro-businesses. This will be accomplished through the following activities: establishing 20 hydroponic and 40 wicking bed systems within the identified poor households in the Project area; development of already existing 10 aquaponic units established during the 2012 project; and capacity building of project beneficiaries for managing and sustaining the implemented agro-activities (workshops, trainings, consultations, field days)
