The overall objective of the project is to provide WASH infrastructure in three Bethlehem elementary schools. The project will contribute to increase access to safe and clean water through rehabilitating water cistern and increasing water storage capacity. In addition, the project will aim to raise the awareness of the school teachers, students and their parents in relation to water conservation and water management. This will not only promotes hygiene and increase access to improved water sources but also supports schools to establish equitable and sustainable access to safe water as well as to be able to manage and maintain their water systems. The project aims to benefit three schools with a total number of 1065 students and teachers. In addition, the rehabilitation of the water sources in one of the targeted schools may benefit two other schools with a total number of 578 students as indirect beneficiaries.
