Project Title:   Emergency Program for Enhancing Household Food Security of the Farming Communities in the Rural Areas of Bethlehem, Hebron and Tubas Governorates

This project aims to improve the accessibility of 680 marginalized and needy rural households to food and water through providing them with the agricultural production assets and technical support, such as: rehabilitation of rainwater harvesting cisterns, small ruminant sheds, water canals, and rehabilitation of frost-damaged plantations; planting home gardens and the fields with field crops, in addition to extension service visits to the selected household. Among the project outputs, is the rehabilitation of 80 cisterns; 30 sheep and goats’ barracks, as well as the re-construction of Artas irrigation canal. Furthermore, a total of 6,788.5 dunums are to be planted with seeds seedlings. As for targeted areas, thirty three rural communities in three different Governorates, Bethlehem, Hebron, and Tubas are to benefit from the project activities.
