This paper was written as part of a USAID sponsored project that aims to generate information required by government air quality planning agencies in Israel and West Bank/Gaza to develop strategies for the socially and environmentally sustainable urbanization of their coastal areas. It outlines the objectives and accomplishments that have been achieved in terms of emission database preparation, environmental database and climatology. It also discusses future work that can be done, especially in modeling possible future conditions.
