The paper presents the continuous Israeli activities in trying to strangulate the city of Beit Jala, which is located 1 km west of Bethlehem and 8 km southwest of Jerusalem. After giving an introduction about the location of Beit Jala, the paper discusses the occupation practices in this city including: settlements, bypass roads, the building of the segregation wall which isolates Palestinian resources. In addition, the paper presents the military orders in Beit Jala issued 2002 and 2006, the major impacts of the segregation plan, and the international legal status of the segregation wall.
