The paper provides a historical background and legal framework to the IOF presence in the occupied Palestinian Territory and assesses some of the consequent environmental implications. It explores the fields of unexploded ordinances and land mines, radiation within the oPT, the infrastructure of a military occupation and its disregard for the native environment.
