Regarding the UNSC emergency meeting on Al-Aqsa Mosque/ Jerusalem clashes
As the United Nation Security Council (UNSC) convenes today (July 24) to deliberate the developing events in occupied Jerusalem and specifically the Israeli commandeering of Al-Aqsa Mosque and violating the rights of the people to access their religious sites at will and without any degradation to their right to do so as indigenous of the land; hence, the assembly should keep the following in mind; that the Second Palestinian Intifada, which broke out from Al-Aqsa Mosque in September 2000 after the former/ late Israeli Minister Arial Sharon coercively entered Al-Aqsa Mosque area. The Israeli turbulence of the adopted protocol ultimately resulted in break of a wave of violence that lasted 4 years upon which prospective insights to this stumbling conflict were not presented with the right environment to grasp the opportunities presented, which may have served as a gateway to put this conflict on a track to End it.
We call upon the UNSC to reexamine more thoroughly the “Clinton Peace Plan” (AKA— the Clinton parameters) and the "Moratinos Document"
