The project aims to increase availability and access to quality WASH facilities and services for the most vulnerable communities and households (HH) in Area C of the West Bank. The provision of safe WASH conditions is essential for preventing the spread of the COVID-19 outbreak by facilitating the application of required mitigation measures. The Action will therefore target the most vulnerable communities and HHs in Area C which are not served by piped water services and depend on water trucking or cisterns as their primary water source. These highly vulnerable communities and HHs will benefit from improvements to the quality of water sources and water cisterns, and from improving water transition means. In total, the project will target 45 communities with a total 1,046 HH, representing 4,962 individuals across nine governorates of the West Bank .
