We would like to aknowledge and thank Dr. Eng. Giorgio P. Nembrini, an independant consultant, for preparing this paper.

The paper analyzes the impact of the "Cast Lead" war on the water supply of the Gaza strip using data gathered from the CMWU during the 2009 year. The evolution of the water quality is also analyzed by comparing data collected in 2004 with those obtained recently, bearing in mind that damage to waste water conveying pipelines has been important but also taking into account new developments in the waste water treatment infrastructure, implemented before the onset of the war and partially completed during 2009 and beginning of 2010.
